A LIFE WELL LIVED

The twelfth day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty Eight became a historical milestone in the union of the late Mr. Moses Johnson and Mrs. Bessie Lee Gillie Johnson.  It marked the birth of an energetic baby boy, Woodie Johnson. His  Creator  issued the final summons and ended his remarkable sojourn on earth  June 7, 2022 while he was under the care of medical professionals in the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center.

Brother Johnson held high his notable Christian journey.  It was rooted in Bible based teaching exemplified in his home during his childhood.  This undergirded his public confession of his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, being water baptized and uniting with the New Nazarene Missionary Church in the Bermuda

Community where he remained through his abiding faith until God said, "Well done."

This gentleman of substance married his soul-mate, the late Annie D. Anthony Johnson and together they created a nurturing environment for the children who were the fruit of their matrimonial bond:  Raymond Johnson, Willard Johnson, Catherine Johnson, Ervin Johnson, Audrey Johnson, Woodie Johnson, Jr. and Orend Johnson.

Brother Johnson was an outstanding and noteworthy bus driver with the Natchitoches Parish School Board for many years and was often remembered fondly as students' favorite Bus Driver.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, one brother, Harrison Johnson, one son, Ervin Johnson; two grandsons:  Irvin C. Johnson and Dwayne B. Johnson; two great, great grandsons,  Trevon L. Sanders and Kingster Hoover.

Those who will forever treasure his dear memory are six children:  Raymond Johnson of Natchitoches, LA, Willard Johnson of Houston, TX, Catherine Johnson of Natchitoches, LA, Audrey Johnson Blake (Calvin), Woodie Johnson, Jr. (Emma) and Orend Johnson (Mary) all of the Houston, Texas Metroplex area; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; four great, great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
