A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Willie Mae Below Hardison Friday, August 10, 2012, 10:00 a. m., St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on 5th Street. The family will receive friends at a wake on the preceding Thursday evening in the funeral home chapel from 6 - 9 p. m. with a Rosary scheduled for 7:00 p. m. Burial will take place in the Breda Town Cemetery.
Mrs. Willie Mae Below-Hardison was born in Natchitoches Parish July 14, 1933 to the parentage of the late Mr. Louis Below and Mrs. Mary P. LaCour Below. She was the fourth of six children which blessed this union. She exchanged time for eternity August 1, 2012 at the Christus- Schumpert Medical Center Highland Hospital in Shreveport, LA.
Mrs. Hardison was baptized in the Catholic faith and was a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church of Natchitoches from childhood until her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters and one great grandson.
This beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend was married to the late Mr. Kermit C. Hardison, Sr. in 1949 and God favored their family unit with five children.
Those who will always delight in cherishing her memory are Charles Hardison (Priscilla) of Canton, MI, Earl Henry Hardison (Barbara) of Westland, MI, Calvin Hardison of Detroit, MI, Diane Wiggins of Natchitoches, LA and Jackline Stafford (Kevin) of Natchitoches, LA; fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; one sister, two brothers and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
