OBITUARY OF SHARON DENESE "BIG MAMA" PIER

Our beloved "BIG MAMA" was loving, devoted and selfless on her earthly journey.  This unforgettable lady was born July 7, 1973 in Natchitoches, LA to the parentage of the late Robert Hampton and Nootsie Demery.  God, in His wise providence, moved her from earthly toil to a higher place of praise January 2, 2022 in her Natchitoches residence.

She was a believer in Christ and His teachings.  Her walk with God started in the Emmanuel Chapel Methodist Church in the Grand Ecore community and continued to be shown in the way she cared for others even at the cost of self-sacrifice.

Sharon was an academic student who held education as an important part of her life.  Her studies led to her earning the High School Diploma from Natchitoches-Central High School and an Accounting Certification from Alexandria Vocational-Technical.  She was very well prepared to be a part of the workforce.

This progressive lady was employed as a Q & A Supervisor for a number of years with Con-Agra Poultry Company.

Preceding her in death were her father, one niece, Kiya Pier, a nephew, Michael Pier; an aunt, Katie Casson, an uncle, Michael Casson; first cousins:  Shawn Pier, Jerome Pier and Mario Calvin.

Her dear memory will be cherished by those who survive her including her mother, Nootsie Demery of Natchitoches, LA; five children:  Rekeithia LaCaze (Steven) of Natchitoches, LA; Shambanetta Pier (Timothy) of Natchitoches, LA, Terrance Jackson (Jacquitta) of Houston, TX, Devonte Pier (Shakayla) of Tyler, TX and Trevor Pier of Natchitoches, LA; seventeen grandchildren; one great grandchild soon to be born, a very special friend, Percy Brown; siblings:  Brenda Hudson, Joyce Pier, Tyrongala Pier, Doboria Pier, Roosevelt Pier, Lavell Pier, Philmore Pier, Felicia Tousaint, and Shelia Tousaint, her very best friend, Margie Parker  and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
