Obituary of Mr. Sean Anthony Revels
He was born in Port Royal, South Carolina on June 22, 1968 to Gene and Gladys Revels Sr.
Sean was a devout Catholic who attended St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Natchitoches, LA. Sean demonstrated his devotion by serving as an altar boy as a child, and later as a catechism instructor and a member of the Holy Name Society.
He was a 1986 graduate of Natchitoches Central High School. After graduation, Sean enlisted in the Army National Guard and eventually served as an active member of the US Army during Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
After Sean completed his military obligations, he enrolled in Northwestern State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology with emphasis in Occupational Safety.
Sean met the love of his life Kanika Revels (Wardsworth) in 1992. The two were married in 1995 and to this union three beautiful daughters were born.
Sean's professional safety career spanned 25 years over three states and to say he took pride in what he did, would be a great understatement. Sean enjoyed helping and teaching all those he worked with through the years to understand that safety expanded beyond the job site. He had a unique way of drawing you in with his stories and lessons that captivated you and made you think deeply.
Sean was known as a God–fearing, faithful husband, father, son, brother and friend and will be dearly missed by many.
Left to cherish Sean's memory are his wife of 25 years Kanika, 4 daughters, Raven, Jazlyn, Azaria, and Kennedi, his granddaughter Peyton-Rae as well as his parents, sister Gena (Glenn) Wise, brother, Gene Revels Jr. (April), mother-in-law Grace Wardsworth, numerous aunts and uncles, a host of nieces and nephews who shared an incredible bond with their Uncle (Unkie) Sean, cousins, friends, and Mingo the family dog.
