Ronald James Harris, Sr. was born January 1, 1960 to Willie Lawrence and Annette Robinson in Natchitoches, Louisiana. He graduated in 1977 from Natchitoches Central High School. He loved to fish, make people laugh, and dress up, but he loved most of all to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife of 34 years, Lady Frances Lampkins Harris, their two children, Ronald J. Harris, Jr. & Talisha Harris both of Lake Charles, Louisiana, along with his oldest son Marcus Sykes of Natchitoches, Louisiana; his parents, Willie Lawrence of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Annette Robinson of Natchitoches, Louisiana; siblings, Elizabeth (Calvin) Murphy, and Marilyn Robinson both of Natchitoches, Louisiana, and Mylisa Lawrence of Lake Charles, Louisiana; sister and brother-in-laws; Beverly Hart, of Houston, Texas, and Debbie (Gary) Wardworth of Spencer, OK; five grandchildren, Rhonda Harris, Ronald J. Harris, III, Christopher Jacko, Jacob Harris, and Cadance Jacko, all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; godchildren, Jonathan Wardworth, of Spenser, Oklahoma, Terrius Bell, of Natchitoches, LA and Tramine Fontenot of Lake Charles, Louisiana; aunts and uncles, Dorothy (David) Shumpert of Natchitoches, Louisiana, Bennie Queen of Natchitoches, Louisiana, Sam (Lucille) Lawrence, Jr. of Houston, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Berdet Riley; maternal grandmother, Cora Lee Riley, and paternal grandfather, Sam Lawrence, Sr.
