Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Brother Johnson will go forth in the Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 318 North St., Natchitoches, LA 71457 Saturday, March 19, 2022, 2:00 p. m. with burial following in the Lawrence Serenity Sanctum.

ALL ATTENDEES MUST WEAR PROTECTIVE FACIAL MASKS AND OBSERVE SOCIAL DISTANCING.

God blessed the union of the late Mr. Ray Johnson, Sr. and Mrs. Pearlie Blake Johnson with the birth of an energetic baby boy in Natchitoches, LA on May 11, 1946 who they named Ray.  God called him for earthly labor to a higher place of praise March 9, 2022 in Natchitoches, LA.

His Christian journey led him to accept Christ as his personal Savior and unite with the Salvation Ministries Church under the pastoral leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Randolph King, Jr.  Ray was a  baptized believer!

He united in Matrimony with his soul mate, Mrs. Annie Bell King Johnson, and they enjoyed a home filled with love and nurturing for fifty-five years.

Ray was a diligent worker who provided for his home.  His employment with Coca-Cola Bottling Company lasted for a quarter of a century until he retired from that firm.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and one sister, Ola Mae Brimzy.

His memory will long be cherished and held dear by those who survive him:  his wife, Annie Bell King Johnson, six boys:  Jimmy Ray Johnson, Leon Johnson, David Johnson, Dwayne Johnson (Felicia Rachal Johnson), Derrick Johnson and Jermicah Johnson all of Natchitoches, LA; eighteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; siblings:  Leo Johnson, Charles Johnson (Patricia), Betty Woodard (Robert), Pearlie Hall, Barbara Johnson and Catherine Johnson all of Natchitoches, LA along with a host of other relatives and friends.
