Funeral Services will be celebrated Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the Pentecost Baptist Church, Hwy 1, Natchez, LA 71456 at 11:30 a. m. The casketed remains will lie in state for public visitation at the church from 10:00 a. m. until service time. Interment following in the St. Augustine Baptist Church Cemetery (Little River Community).

Patricia Metoyer died peacefully on July 27, 2021, after a brief but difficult battle with cancer. She was 68. She is survived by her children Trece Conde of Houston, TX, John Conde (Jenifer) of Marietta, GA, Tressie Parker (Karl) of Lake Charles, LA; grandchildren Jacob, Jaxson, Destiny, Karly, Karsyn; Godson Brian Remo (Daphne); sisters Jessie Pierson, Gwen Bennett, Tina Washington, Adline Jernigan (Willie); brothers Charles and Alan Ray Washington, Alton Remo, William Remo; and longtime companion Barry Metoyer. Siblings preceding her in death are Willie Payne (Maxine), Frank Remo (Emma), Calvin Remo (Leona), Willis "Kevin" Remo, Irma Remo, and Parnell Remo (Elizabeth).
Patricia was born in Waukegan, IL. on Jan. 18, 1953, to Corteas Harris and Harry Washington, Sr. Patricia grew up in a loving household reared by Willie and Adrill Remo in Bermuda, LA, near Cane River Lake. Patricia leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Patricia attended St. Matthew High School of Melrose, LA, with the highest honors of her class. She was the first in her family to attend and graduate college. She received a Bachelor of Arts in early childhood education from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. In May of 1973, Patricia Washington married John Conde of Cloutierville, LA. Patricia later became a teacher at Parks Elementary. In 1983 Mr. and Mrs. Conde moved to Houston, TX establishing their church home at St. Francis Of Assisi Catholic Church. Patricia taught preschool at the associated church school and in several school districts in Houston, TX. She touched the lives of many 4-year-olds over her 20 years as a preschool teacher. Her classroom was lively and filled with laughter, joy, and song.
Patricia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and had a passion for sharing the word of the Lord with anyone who would listen. She wants all who loved her to know that she has gone on to claim her seat in the Kingdom of God. Do not be sorrowful; rejoice! She asked to be laid to rest near her mother, father, sisters, and brothers who preceded her in death at St. Augustine Baptist Church in Bermuda, LA. Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home, 318 North Street, Natchitoches, LA 71457, completed arrangements for the family. Services will be held on August 7, 2021, at Pentecost Baptist Church, 9425 LA-1, Natchez, La, with the viewing of the body beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service starting at 11:30 a.m. The family wishes to express their sincerest appreciation for flowers and other expressions of love during this time of bereavement. The family also wants to thank the caring staff at Harbor Hospice House of Houston, for their attentive care as she prepared for her journey on to God in her final days. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Patricia Metoyer's name to the Harbor Foundation or the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
