Former Mayor of the Town of Campti, LA, Mrs. Oneary Thompson Bobb gained her angel's wings Sunday, August 14, 2022 when she was transported from earth to a higher place of existence. She was surrounded by family and friends in the home of her daughter in Lewisville, TX at the time of her transitioning.
Life Celebration Services will go forth at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 184 Marshall Street, Campti, LA 71411 Saturday, August 20, 2022 with a public viewing from 11:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1:00 p. m. with the Pastor Alfred Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Campti Community Cemetery. The St. Peter Charitable Club will host a repast at the St. Peter Baptist Church following the burial.
ALL ATTENDEES ARE ASKED TO WEAR PROTECTIVE FACIAL MASKS AND PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING.

On February 10, 1954 Oneary Thompson Bobb was born to the late Clarence Thompson
Sr and Hettie Thompson in Campti, Louisiana. She professed Jesus Christ as her Lord and
Saviorat an early age. Oneary was a member at St Peter Baptist Church.
Oneary was born and raised in Campti, La and graduated from Campti High School in
1972 and then continued her education at Northwestern University where she received
her business degree. In her time on this earth, Oneary served many roles from chruch
secretary to Mayor of Campti. She was currently employed as a field supervisor at
Louisiana Housing Assistance Corp.
On the early morning of August 14, 2022, Oneary gained her wings in Lewisville, Tx
surrounded by the ones she loved most. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe
Lee Bobb Sr ,her parents: Clarence Thompson Sr and Hettie Thompson: ( 2 )Sisters Diane
Rogers & Eddie Mae Mitchell (1) brother Dinnie Ray Thompson
Oneary leaves to cherish her memories (3)children: Anthony, Tanyania, and Joe Jr; (1) son-
in-law, Aubreion Wright (7) grandchildren: Domonique, Aubreion, Anthony Jr., Trevion,
Kewrin, Rhianna, & Aedon. (1) great grand: Camila ; (1) brother: Clarence Sr. (3) Sisters:
Mary, Janie, and Jacqueline; (5) Brother-in-laws Freddie Mitchell, Sr, Willie Stanley, John
Pye, Sr, Edward P Jackson Jr, Lee Andrew Bobb, (6) sister-in-laws, Joyce Thompson-
Reilford, Lille M. Diaz, Nellie L. Turner, Alberta Bobb, Abbie J. Thomas and Ruth Mallard-
Jackson, (1) uncle, John L Thompson, (3) Aunts, Eura Williams, Ethel Telsee, and Lillie Ann
