TO EVERYTHING THERE IS A SEASON
(Ecclesiastes)

A Time To Be Born

Ocie B. Turner Williams was born to the union of Lethan Jackson Turner and Willie "Sam" Turner, on August 12, 1929, in Clarence, Louisiana. She was reared on Bayou Bourbeaux, better known as "By-Boogie". She was educated in the Natchitoches Parish School System. In 1966 her family moved to St. Maurice, Louisiana.

A Time To Plant

Ocie B. accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized July 19, 1942 at the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. E.D. Perkins and remained faithful until death. She was an active member of The Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. She served in the capacity of Usher and Deaconess for many years. She was also a member of Women's Mission Ministry, and the Golden Years Club.

A Time To Love

Ocie B. was married to the late Emile Williams Jr. Three children were born to this union: Jerry, Sherry, and Lisa. She was single handedly the best mother a child could possibly have. She worked hard to make sure her children and grandchildren were happy and had everything they needed. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and sister.

Ocie B. impacted and touched the lives of many with her lovely smile, sweet, caring and thoughtful personality, and delightful charm. She always found time to ask about others and their feelings. She also always put a smile on everyone's face. She always had her focus on God first and her family.

A Time To Die

Ocie B. departed this life on Sunday, March 25, 2012 in her loving home in Monroe, LA. She now resides in her eternal home with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emile Williams Jr.; her parents, Lethan and Sam Turner; sister, Edna Lee Turner; brothers: Chris Turner, Herman Turner and George Perry; one grandson, DeCedric King.

A Time To Embrace

Ocie B. leaves to cherish her loving memories: her three loving children; one son, Jerry Williams (Mae); two daughters, Sherry Williams Guillory and Lisa W. Kelley (Robert deceased); seven Grandchildren; Sam Kelley, Marian Williams-Gardner (Kevin), Katreena King Solitaire (Derrick), Ashley Williams, Sabreena King, LaSheena King and Jessica Williams; six Great-Grandchildren, two sisters; Odree "Essie B" Green (Albert Sr.) and Sarah Timmon (Huey Sr.); one brother, Peter Turner (Earlene); and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
