Brother Nataniel Brooks was born March 27, 1931 Shady Grove Community on Brooks Hill. Parents: Harvey Manning Brooks and Christella Houston Manning
He was married to Margaret Wolfe Mallard Brooks for 63 years. His children: Viola Jackson, Shirley Brooks Love, (Randall W. Brooks preceded him in death) Carolyn L. Brooks, Linnie C Brooks and Nathan A. Brooks; thirteen Grandchildren, twenty Great Grandchildren and a tribe of nephews and nieces.
Burial will take place in the Shady Grove Community Cemetery followed by a walk-by repast at the Shady Grove Community Center.

Nataniel Brooks, 89, was born March 27, 1931, the sixteenth child born to Harvey Manning Brooks and Christellar Manning Houston Brooks

Nataniel is the grandson of Eligha Brooks, Sr. and Rosetta Manning Brooks and Ray Houston and Nancy Manning Houston.
Nataniel Brooks, a/k/a Tony, Big Dooney (Nay), whatever you may call him, never call him late for meals. Nataniel was called to his next journey November 4, 2020 at LSU Health Center, Shreveport, LA after a brief illness of heart failure.
He joined Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Shady Grove, LA and was baptized under the teaching of Rev. C. Jefferson where he entrusted him as his loyal Deacon. Later, Nataniel was entrusted with more duties and secured his faith under the devoted guidance and teaching of Rev. Ronnie Evans who he dearly considered as a friend.
He always called Rev. Evans his Pastor no matter who was appointed.
He retired from being self-owner of a Pulpwood business where he was very successful until a logging accident caused him to stop working. He always was there to help his neighbors who were in need.
He leaves to celebrate his memory his lifetime mate of sixty-three years, his wife, Margaret Keegan Mallard Burns Wolfe Brooks and five children from this union: Shirley Brooks Love of Jackson, MI, Randall Wayne Brooks, Deceased, (Robeline, LA), Carolyn Lavonne Brooks of Natchitoches, LA, Linnie Cynthia Brooks of Jackson, MI, Nathan Anthony Brooks of Lake Elsinore, CA., his first born child prior to his marriage, Violia Marie Fisher Brooks Jackson of Cathedral City, CA; his last surviving sibling of the 20 children, Edith Christella Brooks of Saginaw, MI; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, over one hundred twenty nephews and nieces and a host of cousins dear to him.
Preceding him in death his parents and nineteen siblings, his son, Randall Wayne Brooks, grandchildren: Shenika Brooks, Fontaine Brooks, great grand baby Vernell Brooks Davenport.
