In Loving Memory of Alma Natasha Rachal (Tasha), a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, born on December 15,1976 to Kathy Raford and the late Donald Washington. She was once married to John Goston, and together they welcomed their beloved son, Johnovon Marvell Goston, Jay, to whom she was a devoted mother and took great pride in the man he is. Her love for him was unwavering, and their bond was one she cherished so dearly she called him her best friend. Throughout her life, she found fulfillment in serving others. In her earlier years, she worked at Natchitoches DA’s office, where she was known for her dedication and commitment to her work. Later, her love for children led her to work in both Louisiana and Texas school systems.
Tasha will be remembered for her quiet spirit, compassionate heart, and the genuine love she had for the people and things that meant the most to her. She was a great listener who made people feel heard, valued, and understood. She loved her family and friends deeply and was always someone others could turn to for comfort, encouragement, or simply a listening ear. Above all, she was a woman who loved her people. Though her time on earth has come to an end, the love she gave and the memories she created will continue to live on through her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Johnovon Goston; grandmother, Alma Grigsby; mother, Kathy Raford; brother, Larry Fobbs; sister, LaToya Gafford; two nephews, Landon Fobbs and Michael Gafford; three nieces, Daijha Flowers, Rehgan Fobbs, and Kinsley Baylor; bonus daughter, Shardae Grigsby; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her love, kindness, compassion, and quiet spirit will continue to live through the lives she touched.
Rest peacefully. You were loved, you are missed, and you will never be forgotten.
