Obituary

Daisy Mae Johnson was born October 3, 1944 in Natchitoches, La. to Hyman Young and Gladys M. Johnson.

Growing up as an only child, she was welcomed by the Forest Family with opened arms as literally one of their own. Daisy entered into Holy Matrimony to Arthur K. Tignon in 1966, to that union two of her four children was born Sharon Renee and Arthur Ray. Later in life two more children was born Garrick Deon and Brandon Kernell.

Daisy chose to serve God with the Saints of Pentecost Baptist church under the leadership of Pastor Joe Williams, Sr. where she remained a member until her health started to decline.

Daisy was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Ray Tignon, Sr. her father Hyman Young, Sr., mother Gladys M. Green, son Arthur R. Tignon, dearest friend Doretha F. Charles, paternal grandparents Roy and Ivory Young. maternal grandparents Edward and Doretha Johnson, and uncle Fred T. Johnson.

Daisy leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved companion Clyde Sarpy “Woody”, one daughter Sharon Edmond (Derrick) of Natchez, two sons -Garrick D. Tignon (Delonda) San Antonio, Tx and Brandon Johnson (Kimy) Dallas Tx., grandchildren Haley Below Natchitoches, La, Kaitlyn Cassey Dallas, Tx, Italee Jackson of Paou, Ok, Briniah Solitaire of Dallas, Tx. Camdyn Phillips of Richardson, Tx, Brandon Johnson Jr. of Natchitoches, La., and Gamick Tignon, Jr. San Antonio, TX; two great-grandchildren Harlei and Harlan Below of Natchitoches, La.; one Goddaughter Bridget Gillie (Albert) of Natchez, La., one Godson Alfred Jackson of Lutkin, Tx; three Bonus nephews Temy Forest, Jerry Forest Sr., and Danny Byrd. bonus niece Beverlon Curry, siblings: Roy E. Young and Faye Robinson (Lee) Los Angeles, California, Carolyn Pikes (Thomas) Houston, Tx. Alvin Young (Betty), Hyman Young, Fredrick Young (Corrine) and Diane Young all of Natchitoches, La, all of the Forest Family, and a host of other family and friends.
