A celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 303 Brown Street, Winnfield, Louisiana. The Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care.

Betty Williams, 84, passed away on October 16, 2026. Born November 10, 1941, in Bermuda, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Rev. Fluney and Beulah (Helaire) Jackson. She was married to Rev. Walter L. Williams for 62 years, until his passing in 2024. Betty loved her family, attending church, gospel music, crocheting, game shows, and traveling with loved ones. She is survived by her four children, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, sister, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church family, and a host of friends.

She owned Betty’s Headquarters, the hair salon she operated for decades. People came to get their hair done, but also to visit and share the warmth of Betty’s company. Betty also worked and later retired as a paraprofessional and teacher’s aide at the Winn Parish Career Center, supporting severely disabled children. For more than 30 years, Betty served faithfully alongside her husband as the First Lady of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. Betty’s love, strength, and generosity will remain with all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the family she loved so dearly and in the many lives she touched.
