Mr. Lester
Green
May 17, 1963 — Aug 2, 2026
Natchitoches
With heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss, we announce the passing of Mr. Lester Green, who departed this life on August 2, 2026, in his beloved hometown of Natchitoches, Louisiana. Born on May 17, 1963, in Natchitoches, Lester’s story began amid the vibrant community he called home throughout his life—a place that held his roots, his heart, and his enduring legacy.
Lester was a man whose presence radiated warmth, generosity, and an unfaltering willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. All who knew him could attest to his ever-present readiness to support those around him, and his acts of kindness left lasting imprints on countless lives.
A proud graduate of Allen High School, Lester went on to forge a hard-working path for himself. He was known for his skilled hands and steadfast work ethic, whether he was driving dump trucks or undertaking lineman work in Monroe, Louisiana. Colleagues and friends alike respected him for his dependability and quiet strength, and for the care he brought to every task.
But Lester’s truest joys unfolded not just in his work, but in the bonds he forged with family and friends. He found delight tinkering under the hoods of vehicles—a pastime that reflected his innate curiosity and his desire to keep things running smoothly, both in his own world and the worlds of those around him. Through it all, Lester fostered laughter, wisdom, and a deep sense of belonging among those privileged to know him.
He leaves his loving wife, Ollie Green, to cherish his memory—a partnership rooted in deep affection and mutual support. His legacy is further carried forth by his devoted children: daughters Sholanda, Nicole, Parisha, and Linda; and sons Lester Jr., and Brice and grandchildren Selena, Dominick, Devin, Arlis, and Sherice. The story of Lester’s life continues in the strength of his siblings: brothers Ellis Green, Jr., Jason Green, and Keith Green, as well as his sisters Erika Green and Vergie Sue Green. He is also remembered by a wide circle of dear family and friends whose lives he touched with his genuine spirit.
Lester now joins in rest his beloved parents, Ellis Green, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Green, as well as his siblings Dorothy Ann Green, Randall James, and Cedric Green, daughter Lisa Smith, and grandsons Jaleny Smith and Jonquarius Smith. Their memories echo together, testament to a family built on love and perseverance.
For all who had the honor of knowing Mr. Lester Green, memories of his kindness, his steady hands, and his unfaltering concern for others will remain an enduring comfort and inspiration.Though he has departed from our sight, the light he brought to so many lives will never dim.
As we mourn the passing of Mr. Lester Green, we also celebrate the enduring mark he leaves on this world—a legacy of love, service, and unwavering humanity.
