Lee Gene Gosey was born on February 26, 1951 to Roseanna and Ideal. He accepted Christ at a early age and loved God with all his heart.

In October of 1971 he married Mary (Brown) and to this union was born Cedric, LaShonda, Kendrick and Lee Jr. During this time, he joined the Army where he traveled. After leaving the military, Lee decided Louisiana was home and he could not stay away. Back at home, he met Stephanie (Ardison). They were married in July of 1986 and a new branch was added to his family tree. From this union came Raphiel, Cyrenthia and Charles.

In his life Lee tried a few careers, but found that working with his hands and farming was his passion. If he wasn’t on the tractor working the fields, he was doing maintenance on it. He spent his free time gardening, fishing, and cooking. He loved to entertain and cook steaks for his friends and family. Lee was a cowboy at heart and loved the simple living of country life.

His parents, Roseanna and Ideal, preceded him in death. Lee also experienced the loss of his daughter LaShonda and granddaughter Kirsten.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his brothers, Mitchell (Romona), Joe, and Ivory (Karin). His children: Cedric (Tanya), Kendrick, Lee Jr, Raphiel, Cyrenthia and Charles. His grandchildren, Kelsey, Aaron, CJ, Cai, Jennie, Joseph Jr, Bryson, Maliyah, Selena, Domonique, Devon, Kaleb, and 3 great grandchildren and also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
