Obituary

Dan Earl Williams (affectionately known as Bear, Sugar Bear, Black Knight, and Big D) was born on October 29, 1964, to the late Willie Shepherd Jr. and Minerva Williams.

Dan Williams passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. He was a man whose presence brought comfort, guidance, and joy to all who knew him.

Dan was a loving husband, devoted father, a loyal friend, and a pillar of support to many. He lived his life with quiet determination and a generous spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. His wisdom, humor, and steady encouragement shaped the lives of those around him, and his impact will be felt for generations to come.

He found happiness in life’s simple moments, especially time spent with loved ones sharing stories and creating memories that will now be cherished forever. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and he took great pride in being a source of strength and guidance.

Dan attended St. Matthew High School before transferring to Cloutierville High School.

He accepted Christ under the leadership of Pastor Peter Roberson Jr. at Greater New Hope Baptist Church. He continued to stand strong in his faith and remained a source of strength, hope, and encouragement to everyone around him, trusting in God through every season of his life.

Dan was employed at Pilgrim’s Pride for over 30 years, where he held various titles and positions, demonstrating dedication, hard work, and commitment throughout his career. Regardless of the day of the week you knew he was a die hard Raiders fan.

He was preceded in death by his brother Julius Brown, Daughter Colandra Domino, Granddaughter Chloe Williams, and special cousin Kitchery Lacour.
