Obituary

Brother Craig A. Brown was a man for all seasons. One thing we can definitely agree on was that he was an unforgettable person. If you met and interacted with him, you would never forget his unique personality and behavior. He was born February 9, 1960 in Natchitoches to Mrs. Mamie Turner in Natchitoches, Louisiana. God gently transported him from his earthly journey to a place of eternal rest while under the care of medical professionals with the Courtyard of Natchitoches and the Hospice of Natchitoches on the evening of May 14, 2026. The Master of the Universe said, "Well Done"!

Knowing there was a life after death, Craig publicly confessed a belief in God as his personal Savior and was water baptized in his youth under the spiritual leadership of the late Rev. H. B. Barnum at the First Baptist Church on Amulet Street. He had a close connection with the church on earth and would frequently enter into an emphasis on his Christian walk at various church services where the Minister would make a fiery and convincing call.

The Natchitoches Parish School Board formed the setting for his formal education. He was a graduate of the Natchitoches-Central High School in the Class of 1977.

He utilized his training to pursue jobs of many varieties. He worked as a carpenter, a painter, a general maintenance man, funeral home attendant and was employed by the The Legacy Café and the City of Natchitoches for a number of years. Craig was a person who was always looking to be honestly engaged in work. He was never looked upon as being lazy.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. Edmond Turner and Mrs. Masie Turner, two brothers, Jeffery Turner and Kenneth Brown.

His light will continue to shine in the hearts and minds of those who survive him including his mother, Mrs. Mamie Jones (Wilmer) of Natchitoches, one daughter, Brittany Madison of Shreveport, LA, a son, Terrence Sanders of Seattle, WA as well as a spiritual son that he dearly loved, Kaiser Newton of Natchitoches, LA; siblings: Belinda Middleton (Willie) of Dallas, TX, Sandra Brown of Murfreesboro, TN, Sophia Thompson (Phillip Harold) of Natchitoches, LA, and Dana Hooper of Natchitoches, LA; one aunt, Mrs. Mary Stallworth of Natchitoches, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family acknowledges Karen Wallace and Brandi Braxton as dear friends who helped like family. A special word of thanks goes to Ochsner LSU of Shreveport, LA, Courtyard Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility, Mary Byrd Clinic and Hospice of Natchitoches.
