Obituary

In the spirited voice of Moloise "Ms. Marie" Hill, we reflect on a life well-lived and graciously shared. Born in Winnfield, Louisiana, on December 5, 1952, I was blessed with resilience and a compassionate heart. As Clutie, Claude, or Mother Hill, I was known by many names, each reflecting a different facet of my loving persona. My journey began in the heart of Louisiana and took me to my beloved Houston, Texas where I found a home and formed a family that I cherish dearly.

My life was a testament to the saying, "Do all things with love." Whether as a FAA cook at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport, where I diligently served until my retirement, or within the comforting walls of my home. I always strived to nourish those around me. My kitchen was a place of warmth and laughter, where every meal was a celebration of togetherness. I loved my Sunday Service, reading my Bible, and, when I could find a quiet moment, I enjoyed watching "Young and the Restless" and "Family Feud." To me, these simple pleasures were the essence of life itself.

I was never married, but I was blessed with a family that filled my life with love and purpose. My family and my faith were the cornerstones of my existence, and they shaped the woman I became. To my cherished daughter, Deane Johnson; my precious granddaughters, Shavannah and Shavetta; my darling great-granddaughter, Jeaysa; my beloved nieces, Angela, Barbara, Cynthia, Elaine, Qutissue, Tammy, Lisa, and Donna; my dear nephews, Albert Jr., Ducky, Twin, Wayne, and Gary

I leave my legacy of love and resilience. In the words of Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel!" As I join my dear parents, Ralph Turner, Sr., and Zenobia Knox Turner, and my beloved siblings, Mary Turner-Rhodes, Bobbie Norwood, Jerutha Turner-County, Ralph Jr., and Lonnie Turner, 1 hope to be remembered for
the love and warmth that I shared with all who knew me.
