Services will be celebrated Saturday, February 13, 2016; 10:00 a.m. at Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until service time in the Chapel. Burial will be held in the St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery.
Micheal Dewayne Johnson was born on March 23, 1965, in Pineville, La, to the union of Cloyd and Clydia Johnson. He departed this life on February 5, 2016 in Natchitoches, La. He is preceded in death by his father, Cloyd Johnson.
Micheal was baptized at an early age and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a strong, yet gentle and prayerful man. His heart was full of love, kindness, and compassion for everyone he knew. To know him truly was to love him.
Micheal's devotion to family was special. He married his soul mate, Elizabeth Johnson, on August 14, 2005. They joined their families and lived together happily until he took rest.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife, Elizabeth Johnson; his children, Micheal Johnson, Jr. (of Florida, Ashly Jena Thomas of Natchitoches, Patrick Thomas, Jr. of Texas, Joseph Reliford (Godson) of Natchez, and Nariah Newsome (Goddaughter) of Alexandria; beloved mother, Clydia Groce (John) of Natchez; sisters Belinda Hinton (Brian & daughter Brittney) of North Carolina, Benessa Johnson Boudion (Steve & son Quenton) of Natchez and brother Russell Johnson of North Carolina; maternal uncles Willie Foreman and J.B. Foreman and aunt Rebeka Walker; paternal uncle Lloyd Johnson and aunts Bessie Wardsworth and Essie Ray Howard; beloved mother-in-law Barbara Rachal (John); and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
