The family will receive friends at a Wake/Rosary at Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, December 20, 2013 6:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, December 21, 2013, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 911 5th Street, Natchitoches, LA 71457. Burial will take place in the Catholic Cemetery on 5th Street.

Marjorie Ann Blackston, age 74, of Natchitoches, La., was born on November 8, 1939. She was known to most as "Margie". Marjorie is survived by her sisters Frances Moran (Felton), Rita Jones (Thaddeus); sons Don Blackston (LaTonya), Bart Blackston (Rosa), Scott Blackston (Tammy) and daughter, Chandra Blackston; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grandnephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Viola Ambler; Aunt, Luzelle Foster; brothers Alton and Ernest Ambler; and son Rohn Clay Blackston. She touched many lives in her career as a Social Worker and her service to the church.
