Funeral Services will be celebrated Saturday, May 5, 2012, 11:00 a. m., Evergreen Baptist Church, St. Maurice, LA with burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a. m. to service time.

Mrs. Marina Sue Brown Evans was born in Natchitoches Parish to the parentage of the late Mr. Jerry Brown and Mrs. Odell Anderson Brown December 7, 1958. She passed away at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana Friday, April 27, 2012 at approximately 3:55 p. m. following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Brown secured her education at the hands of educators in the Winn Parish Public School System.
At the time of her passing she was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church in St. Maurice, LA where she was a baptized believer in good standing with the congregation.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Jerry Brown, Jr. and Mr. Henry Anderson and one sister, Ms. Ruth Brown.
She was married to Mr. Phillip Evans, Sr. of St. Maurice, LA and this union was blessed with four children.
Mrs. Evans was formerly employed with the Jordache Clothing Factory in Colfax, LA.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Mr. Phillip Evans, Sr. of St. Maurice, LA; four children; Ms. Monica McKinney (Michael); Mr. Phillip Evans, Jr. Ms. Schrina Evans all of St. Maurice, LA; Ms. Renata Evans of Winnfield, La; two sisters, Mrs. Bernice Smith (Dwight) of Patterson, LA and Mrs. Cynthia Scranton I(Johnny) of St. Maurice, LA; one brother, Mr. Charles Brown (Cynthia ) of Lafayette, LA; one aunt, Mrs. Ocie Washington of Winnfield, LA; three uncles, Mr. Lee Brown of St. Maurice, LA, Mr. Luther Anderson and Mr. Donnie Anderson of California and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
