For I am now ready to be offered and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I
have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me
appearing at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. – 2 Timothy 4: 6-8
The Lord came down from his throne and took with him a
beautiful mother, sister, aunt and grandmother name Lucille Williams.
Remo. Lucille was born on May 20, 1942 to the late Clifford Williams and
Bertha Wiggins. She realized that this world is not our home and
that our soul must spend eternity somewhere and realized the
necessity of preparing for eternal life. Lucille found and accepted
Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She baptized and
joined the First Baptist Church Amulet Street. Later in life she
joined the Pentecost Baptist Church through Christian
experience.
Throughout her life she came across a lot of people. She would say she never met a stranger. She had a heart of gold. To know her was to love her
.
Lucille was united in holy matrimony to Jeff Remo, Sr. on October 26, 1963. From this union,
four children were born, Jeffery, Harold, Hattie and Jeff, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, her husband, Jeff Remo, Sr., four children, Jeffery
Remo (Debra); Harold Remo, Sr; Jeff Remo, Jr.; her loving daughter, Hattie Remo-Evans
(Michael); two sisters, Lusetta Anthony and Betty Wilkerson (Baton Rouge); one brother, Joseph
Wiggins (Natchitoches) ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces,
nephews and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, four brothers James Jones; J.W. Antee; Wesley
Williams; Daniel Williams; three sisters Ethel Williams; Lillie Mae Pratt; and Carrie Lee Canady.
