A celebration of life service will go forth at the Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 318 North Street, Natchitoches, LA 71457 Saturday, February 5, 2022, 2:00 p. m. The casketed remains can be viewed prior to the service.
ALL ATTENDEES MUST WEAR PROTECTIVE FACIAL MASKS AND OBSERVE SOCIAL DISTANCING.
Lonnie Lloyd Green was born to the parents of the late Mr.
Cleveland Green Sr. and Ms. Mary Etta Redmond in Natchitoches
Parish on May 30, 1952. He was the sixth of twelve children. He
transitioned from this life on January 23, 2022.
He was baptized at Saint Martha Baptist Church under the
leadership of Rev. Mac Jackson. In his later years he joined Gaines
Chapel Methodist Church under Rev. Jackson. Lonnie started his
career with the United States Job Corps. While in the Job Corps, he
began an amateur boxing career where he was given the nick name
"Bear Killer." He moved to Dallas for a career in construction and
later moved back to Natchitoches, where he worked as a laborer.
He is survived by his daughter Ta`Sha Clark of Natchitoches, LA;
his siblings Cleveland Green, John Green, Edward Green, and Howard
Green of Dallas, TX; Pearlie B. Green, Onetha Green and Margaret
Frazier of Natchitoches, LA, and Debra Avery of Houston, TX . He
also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
