Obituary

Celebrating the life of Mr. Lonnie Ray Brown, Sr. Mr. Lonnie was born on September 8, 1955 in Winn parish to the late Ernestine Wells (John) and Woodrow Walker. He accepted Christ at a young age. Lonnie later joined in holy matrimony with the love of his life Mrs. Helen Victoria Waldrup, whom he affectionately called "Brown."  To this union came 4 sons; Donnie Joron, Lonnie Ray Jr., Kenneth Augusta and Antonio Demonta. The couple remained united for over 50 years and resided in Natchitoches until the Lord called Lonnie home on February 5, 2026.


Lonnie's early years of employment centered around the wood industry and big rig transport. His later years were spent at Martco Plywood in Chopin until retirement.  He was known for his joking spirit and infectious laugh. Mr. Lonnie enjoyed going on road trips and participating in family gatherings. In addition to his immediate family, he shared a special loving bond with his extended family consisting of siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.


Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his 2nd born son, Lonnie Ray Jr. and his parents, Ernastine Wells, John Wells and Woodrow Walker. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife- Mrs. Helen; sons-Donnie (Shaneika), Kenneth (Sherrie), Antonio; daughter in law-Shashila; grandchildren-Ashtyn, Kaylen, McKenzie, Joshua, Tyriana, Taylor, Kenneth Jr., Kenyah, Blessed and Aunestie; 3 great grandchildren-Jonathan, Sadie, and Mariah; and a host of other close family members.
