Obituary

Homegoing Service will be Saturday, October 21, 2023, Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 318 North Street, Natchitoches, LA 71457, 11:00 a. m. with public visitation from 9:30 a. m. until service time.  Burial will follow in the St. Davis Baptist Church Cemetery, Cloutierville, LA.

Born on March 5, 1957 to John Henry and Willie Mae Jones, and
baptized at an early age at the Saint Davis Baptist Church in
Cloutierville, Louisiana, Katherine Jackson went on to complete her
secondary educational goals at Cloutierville High School in 1975. She married
Robert Jackson on September 8, 2006 and was a devoted first lady of Heart
After God Ministries.
She was a devoted-wife, first lady, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and
friend. She loved to sing and had the voice of an angel. Cooking, going to church,
and shopping for expensive things constructed the pattern by which she
consumed her days. She possessed a smile that could light any room.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Robert Jackson Jr.; daughter,
Kakisha McGaskey; granddaughter, Aaliyah McGaskey; two sisters, Rose
Gistarb of Cloutierville and Alberta Jones of California; and two brothers,
Luther Jones (Cynthia) of California and Wilbert Jones of Alexandria.
She is preceded in death by her father, John Henry Jones; mother, Willie Mae
Jones; brothers, Louis Jones, Henry Jones, and Melvin Jones; and sisters, Gussie
Prince and Willie Dee Jones.
She worked at Conagra for more than twenty years, but later transitioned to
Roy O Martin in 1996, where she worked for several years until she became an
in-home caregiver.
Her impact on those that she touched will last
