Obituary

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 29, 2012, 10:00 a.m., St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Cloutierville, LA with burial following in the church cemetery. The wake will be convened at the Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home on the preceding Friday evening from 6:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p. m.

She was born to the union of Nicholas and Irene Coutee(who proceded her in death along with her husband Calvin Gallion Sr., youngest daughter Henrietta Gallion, and four brothers Nicholas Coutee Jr., Joseph Coutee, Clemont Coutee and Nora Coutee and a grand-daughter Darranica Majors). She married Calvin Gallion Sr., on February 19,1949 and to this union ten children were born. She leaves to clerish her memories 3 sons and 6 daughters. Johnny Gallion(Etheline), Doris Gallion, Mary Gallion and Calvin Gallion Jr.,of Natchez, La., Shirley Seymore(Richard), of Alexandria, La. and Judy Allen(Bill), Ruby Gallion, and Rose Payton(Dennis) of Natchitoches, La. and Clyde Gallion of Arlington, Tx. Two sisters Leola Beaudoin of Natchez, La and Mary Coutee(Felix) of Alexandria, La. Also twenty-five grandchildren. twenty-nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren also a very special daughter Barbara Carter, Shreveport, La. And a host of nieces and nephews as well as many many friends and relatives.

Mrs. Gallion enjoyed making her famous biscuits for breakfast and even dinner for her family. She not only feed her family but she feed anyone who entered her home and she insisted on them eating something even a cookie out her famous cookie jar. She always said it didnt have to be cold or winter time to make gumbo as a matter of fact she made a pot of gumbo Sunday and got ready for the New Orleans Saints game. She was a true saints fan. Every holiday celebration was a famous Gallion event and Mawma was always cooking something better than anyone else and was always the Center of Attention. Mrs. Gallion was also one of the biggest Obama supporters in the land.

The Gallion family wishes to thank everyone; doctors, relatives, friends,hospital staff and others that touched Mrs. Gallion's life. You made her life more enjoyable.
