The Rev. Lionel Johnson will officiate at the Celebration of Life which will take place Saturday, December 9, 2023 in the chapel of Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home, 117 MLK Drive, Winnfield, LA 71483 at 1:00 p. m.  The casketed remains will lie in state for public visitation from Noon until service time.  Burial will follow in the Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in the Calvin Community.

Missionary Judia Ann Curry Hobdy was born to the late Aaron Curry, Sr., and Lucillie Lou Levingston Curry in Summerfield Louisiana, on March 19, 1947, and departed this life on November 27, 2023at 12:45 pm at Winn Parish Medical Center.

She was united in holly matrimony to the late Rev. Osie WIllie Hobdy, June 17, 1967. To this union God blessed them with one son, Willie Derrell Hobdy. She confessed christ at an early age where she joined St. James C.M.E Church and later Greater Neal Temple Church of God in Christ, where she served faithfully as choir member, assistant to state mother, church secretary, Sunday school and bible band teacher, missionary and district missionary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev Osie Willie Hobdy; three sisters, Helen Hayes, Mary Flowers, and Marie Brown; two God Children Charlie Hayes and Tracy Wright; three nephews and two nieces.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Willie Darrell Hobdy, of Winfield, L.A.; one grandchild, Daja M. Hobdy of Bossier City, L.A.; twelve Godchildren: Judia Charel Flowers, Krystal (Kyle) Hartsfield, Marian (Georgery) Payne, James (Katrina) Brown Jr. Rachel Bolds, Elizabeth Bolds, Michael Glover, Jr., Dion Wright, Jezzrell Todd, Rod Todd and Jordan Davis. One sister: Lulu (Milton) Wright, two brothers; Aaron (Maggie) Curry and Clinton (Gwen) Curry, two God sisters: Patricia Bell and Wonda Wright; one God brother; Harold Wright Jr., two very special friends Patricia Bell & Dean Wells. A host of nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.
