In Loving Memory of Joy Ann Anderson

Joy Ann Anderson, affectionately known as "Joann" by her family and friends, entered into eternal rest on May 29, 2026, at the age of 72.

Joy was born on August 11, 1952, in Pineville, Louisiana, to the late Seymour Hunter and Ethel Hunter. She was the youngest of ten children and was lovingly cherished by her brothers and sisters throughout her life.

On April 13, 1979, she married the love of her life, Willie J. Anderson. Together they built a life rooted in love, faith, commitment, and family.

Joy dedicated many years of service as a USDA Inspector, where she was known for her dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic.

To know Joy was to love her. She loved to sing and was often the source of laughter wherever she went. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a personality that could light up a room. Joy was sassy, direct, and never afraid to speak her mind. If you asked her what she thought, she would tell you exactly what was on her mind. Her honesty was one of her defining qualities.

Above all else, Joy loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She treasured time spent with those she loved and was fiercely loyal to them. Joy was a woman whose word could always be trusted. She never broke a promise and lived her life with integrity and faithfulness.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 47 years, Willie J. Anderson; her beloved daughter, Natasha L. Wiseman (Harold "Keith" Wiseman); her loving sister, Marie Drake; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Seymour and Ethel Hunter, and eight beloved brothers and sisters.

While her family grieves her loss, they rejoice in the many memories she leaves behind—the laughter she shared, the songs she sang, the wisdom she offered, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

"Well done, thou good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:21
