Joseph Gallien, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on September 29th, 2013. Son of the late Joseph Gallien and Mary (Melissa) Brevelle Gallien of Isle Brevelle. Beloved husband of Edna Roque Gallien, and loving father of Tony Gallien (Karen) and Jerome Gallien. Grandfather of Justin Gallien, Andrea Gallien and Raylene Davis (Howard). Great Grandfather of Delilah Davis. Brother of Dorothy Gallien Vinet (deceased), and Wilfred Gallien, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Joseph Gallien, affectionately known as "Joe" and "Sonny", will be remembered as a charming gentleman with strong family values, an endless willpower, determination and scientific curiosity. Joseph Gallien worked steadfastly as an electrician at Ford Motor Company for 35 years and proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army. Family and friends are invited to his Visitation Service at Winnfield Funeral Home at 318 North Street in Natchitoches on Saturday October 5th at 8:00 a.m. followed by the recitation of the Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Viewing of remains will be resumed following the Rosary until 10:15 a. m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Augustine Catholic Church at 2250 Highway 484 on Cane River at 11:00 a.m, with interment immediately following.
Joseph Gallien lived a full life to the age of 80.
