A Celebration of Life for Mr. Johnquaries Smith "Baby Hair" will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Natchitoches Event Center(750 2nd St. Natchitoches, La 71457). Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Event Center. Burial will take place at St. Martha Baptist Church(488 Hampton Rd. Natchitoches, La 71457).
Mr. Johnquaries Malque "Baby Hair" Smith was a Senior at Natchitoches Central High School and an active member of the Natchitoches Central Chiefs Football Team who proudly wore #53 and the Chiefs Soccer Team.
Johnquaries Malque Smith was born August 1, 1996 to John Tyree and the late Alisa Ann Smith in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Johnquaries accepted Christ at an early age at St. Mark Baptist Church, Allen, LA under the leadership of PastorWilliam Clark, Jr.
Johnquaries was scheduled to graduate in May, 2015 from the Natchitoches-Central High School. Within that student body, he was admired by all of his peers. He distinguished himself as a Varsity Football Player and an athlete on the Soccer Team. "Baby Hair", as he was known by many, was always positive and a delight to be around. Johnquaries was optimistic about his future with his upcoming rap CD that he had just recorded. He was a positive role model to his younger brother, Jalen, with whom he spent a great deal of priceless time. Johnquaries left an impression on everyone he met and had a big heart.
He was preceded in death by his loving and compassionate mother, Alisa Ann Smith, his maternal great grandparents, James and Dorothy Moses as well as paternal grandparents, Herman and Tina Tyree.
He leaves to mourn his caring grandmother who reared him, Ollie Green (Lester), his grandfather, Clyde Smith (Katie) his admiring maternal brother, Jalen Smith; his paternal siblings, Marcus Davis, Marcus Wyatt, John Tyree, Jr., Diamonte Edwards, Terrell Baines, Kenta Williams, Tawanna Dorsey, Tyresha Black, Nytina Black, Kenonta Williams, Shakira Brown and Jahlah Tyree, an aunt who was like a surrogate mother, Linda Ann Smith; a special friend, Dominique Beard; seven paternal aunts and seven paternal uncles, and a hosts of other aunts, uncles, other relatives and many, many friends.
