Funeral Services will be celebrated Saturday, April 13, 2013, 2:00 p. m. at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Leesville, LA with burial following in the Leesville Memorial Cemetery. The remains will lie in state for public viewing at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p. m. to service time.

Jeanette Calvin Morris was born April 10, 1930 to Pearl and Jack Calvin here in Leesville, Louisiana. She graduated from Leesville High School. She went on to college to get her bachelor's degree for nursing. She worked in Houston, Texas at Ben Todd Hospital, Byrd Regional Memorial Hospital here in Leesville, La. She also worked out at Ft. Polk as well as Nicholas.

She was raised up with eight siblings, four brothers and four sisters. She was raised up in the Baptist Church and was an active member at Mt. Olive Baptist Church along with her two sons, Karl and Melvin Morris. She married Foster Morris and had two wonderful sons whom she raised to be the best they could be as men. She was a wonderful woman and mother.

Jeanette C. Morris was proceeded in death by Jack Calvin(father),Pearl Calvin(mother), four brothers: Hoy F. Calvin, Lonzo Calvin, Sam Calvin, James T. Calvin, four sisters; Doris Calvin, Verna Calvin, Erma J. Calvin, Mattie B. Bell.

She leaves behind to mourn two sons Karl Morris and Melvin Morris Sr. of Leesville, La., one grandson Melvin Morris Jr. of Leesville, La, daughter-in-law Jessica Williams of Leesville, La, grand-daughter Jessy Williams of Leesville, La, god-daughters Eulanda, Africa, Asia, Malaysia Whitehead of Rosepine, La, one god-son Fredrick Whitehead of Rosepine, La, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
