Celebration of the life and legacy of Mr. Jackie Loyd Washington will go forth at the Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 318 North Street, Natchitoches, LA 71457 Saturday, May 7, 2022, 11:00 a. m.  The casketed remains will lie in state at the funeral home from 9:30 a. m. until service time.  Cremation will follow the service.

Jackie Loyd Washington, son of the late Clifford Washington, Sr. and Rosa Lee Rodgers

Washington was born September 13, 1955, at Confederate Memorial Hospital in Shreveport,

Louisiana. On Sunday, May 1, 2022, at his home in St. Maurice, Louisiana, our Merciful God

saw the need to call his servant home. Dad, Clifford Washington, Sr., Wife, Blondell Smith

Washington, and Granddaughter Zaria J'Mari Rainwater preceded him in death.

At an early age, Jackie accepted Christ and was baptized at Choctaw Island Baptist Church

under the leadership of Reverend Mac Jackson. Jackie was educated in the Winn Parish

School system and was a proud graduate of Atlanta High School, class of 1973. He was joined

in holy matrimony to the late, Blondell Smith Washington on July 19, 1975.

During his lifetime, Jackie was gainfully employed at Manville/West Frasier for over 30 years,

where he retired at the age of 62. Jackie was an avid hunter and fisherman with a passion for

the outdoors and a good game of Dominos. He enjoyed competing in fishing tournaments with

his closest family and friends. Jackie was a member of the Florida Crappie Club and Crappie

State Champion of December 2018.

(Dallas), Zyah J Jenkins (Winnfield), Jazelle M Jones (Dallas); three great-grandchildren Jonah

W Miles (Baton Rouge), Sophia R Rainwater (Houston) and Denver C Rainwater

(Houston);mother Rosa L Rodgers-Washington (Natchitoches); five brothers Clifford

Washington, Jr. (Marsha of Houston), Jimmy Washington (Precious of Houston), Michael

Washington (Valerie of Florida), Bobby Ray Winslow (Carolyn of Houston), Ronald Wayne

Winslow (Geraldine of Houston); four sisters Kathy Washington (Houston), Dorothy Washington

(Houston), Patricia Washington (Natchitoches), Emma L Scott (Lenwood of Houston); a host of

nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
