The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 17, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville, LA.  A public visitation at the church will begin at 10:00 a. m. and last until the Mass at 11:00 a. m.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Church's cemetery.

OBITUARY

Hubert Joseph LaCour, 86 years of age, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Hubert was born on March 13, 1937, to the late Joseph and Eva LaCour in Melrose, Louisiana.

Hubert was a loving husband of 68 years, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, Vietnam Veteran, and friend. He was "puddin'" to one, dad to six, Paw-Paw to his forty-eight grandkids, and friend to more than we can count.  If you were around Hubert, be prepared to hear war stories, learn life lessons, talk about fishing, or be quizzed on random facts that hardly anyone else knew. Hubert spent the majority of his life serving his country in the United States Navy. After retiring from the Navy, Hubert and Clara relocated to Cloutierville where they raised their six children.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Clara; children: Mark (Felisha); Angela (Charles); Ricky Joseph (Barbara); Yvette; Cassandra (John); and Eva Marie; Grandchildren: Alvaro Benito (Stefanie); Danielle (James); Joshua; Eugene (Sherry); Kayla; John (Shaliah); Emmanuel (Patricia); Ricky James; Jonathan; Mallori; Autumn; and Logan.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Vincent LaCour and Eva Gallien LaCour; brothers Joseph Vanwick LaCour and Ernest LaCour; and grandchildren Nikki LaCour and Kristy LaCour.
