Funeral Services will be celebrated Saturday, MARCH 31, 2012, 11:00 a. m., at the Evergreen Baptist Church, St. Maurice, LA. Burial will follow in the church's cemetery. The family will receive friends at during a visitation at the Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home the preceding Friday evening from 6:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m.

Sister Gladys L. Flagg was born March 7, 1937 in St. Maurice, Louisiana to Louise Sneed and the late William Sneed, Sr. She departed this life on March 19, 2012 at LSU Medical Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana.
She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Evergreen Baptist Church in St. Maurice, Louisiana, where she served faithfully and also was a member of the Senior Choir. She later joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Andre Haynie, Sr.
Sister Flagg was a graduate of J.W. Gaines High School, Class of 1958. She also attended the Vocational and Technical School of Natchitoches, Louisiana, where she received a certification in Cosmetology. She retired from the Winn Parish School System, where she worked as a Lunchroom Technician for many years. Sister Flagg had a strong love for her family and touched many lives.
In 1952, she united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Ray (Roosevelt) Flagg. To this union one child was born.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Sneed.
Sister Flagg leaves to cherish her memory, her loving mother, Louise Sneed of St. Maurice, LA,; one devoted daughter, Lorine Flagg of St. Maurice, LA, and one devoted son, Jerry Wayne Flagg, of Oakland, CA; one brother, William Clyde Sneed, Jr. (Annie) of Winnfield, LA; a loving aunt, Martha Edwards; three step-sons, Jackie Roy Flagg of Las Vegas, NV, Derrick Flagg (Thelma) of Alexandria, LA, and Chris Flagg (Felicia) of Killeen, TX; five grandchildren, Latonna, Kayla, Jasper, Jarvin, and Fredrick; four step-grandchildren, Tammy, Frankie, Ethan, and Jalien; one special grandchild, Felecia; two great grandchildren, Maceo and Kalin; four step-great grandchildren, Shanitya, Taquera, Talanna, and Ta'Naiya; one godchild, Ora L. Edwards; one dedicated daughter-in-law, Angela W. Flagg; two sister-in-laws, Gloria Wellington and Betty Deas; a brother-in-law, Clyde Briggs; along with a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends whom she loved dearly.
