Homegoing Services will unfold Saturday, October 21, 2023, 11:00 a. m. at the RAMS CHURCH, 175 Fairgrounds Road, Natchitoches, LA 71457.  The casketed remains will lie in state at the church from 9:30 a. m. until service time.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery of Highway 6.

Dorothy Raymond was born on March 1, 1939, to Earnest Raymond Sr. and Bernice
Williams Raymond in Clarence, Louisiana. Upon graduating from Central High School, she
began work with Natchitoches School Systems as a cafeteria worker and culminated her work
career by retiring from Pilgrim's Pride.

At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She later worshiped at
Prather Street COGC and then faithfully worshiped at Restoration Apostolic Ministries under the
leadership of Apostle Sebastion Babers until her death.

On October 12th, Dorothy completed her earthly journey and went home to be with the
Lord. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Earnest Raymond Sr. and Bernice Raymond;
her son Herman Carhee; her brothers HB Raymond, WT Raymond, Rayfield Raymond, Etris
Raymond, Ephraim Raymond, Earnest Raymond Jr., William (Dub) Raymond, Ocie Raymond,
Clifton Raymond and Leo Raymond, her sisters; Bessie Mae Black and Ruth Ann Raymond.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Perry Raymond; her daughter Sylvia
Carhee; her grandchildren, Christany Raymond and Jasmine Shields; and one great-grandchild,
Journi Bright; her brothers Elijah (Carrie) Raymond, Cleophas (Mary) Raymond, and Vincton
Raymond; her sisters Virgie Roberson, Gloria (Mack) Tousaint, Ruby Hawkins, and Bessie
Raymond; her sister-in-law Pearl Raymond and a long host of nieces, nephews, family, and
friends.
