Diane Below, 53, left her earthly home peacefully to meet her Heavenly Father on October 30, 2015. This loving daughter, precious sister and the dearest mother was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. James and Doris Anthony Below, on October 29, 1962 in Pineville, Louisiana.
This very charming young lady was reared in a home where Christ was at the forefront of the family. Her upbringing led to her public confession of Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was then baptized and united with the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Bermuda, LA under the spiritual pastorage of the late Reverend P. M. Gillie. She remained a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Leo Walker, Sr. Within the church, she was active as a member of the Usher Corp and the Mission Board. She held fast to her faith until she was called to her heavenly home.
Natchitoches-Central High awarded her the High School Diploma in the Class of 1980. This energetic student became very active in the high school band and was an outstanding majorette for the Chiefs. Always seeking to improve herself, Diane pursued higher education at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she majored in Business Administration. While in college, she competed in various university pageants and excelled to have the privilege of competing for Miss Louisiana.
Upon returning to Natchitoches, she was employed in various capacities within the realm of health care, a career path that she pursued until her demise.
Our beloved Diane remained active outside of the professional atmosphere and enjoyed decorating for special occasions, coordinating events and making floral arrangements.
Diane's primary goal was to make sure her children were well rounded and she constantly instilled in them the importance of quality education. The fruit of her maternal influence has blossomed thusly: one has attained three Masters Degrees, one with a Masters Degree and a Bachelors Degree, two with Bachelors Degrees, and one who holds certification in the Oil and Gas Industry offshore. This caring mother also emphasized family values and faith. She had a passion for caring for people. Anyone she came in contact with could feel her lively spirit and infectious positive personality. She never considered anyone a stranger. Those who visited her were always welcomed in her home.
On Friday, October 30, 2015 at 5:17 p.m., she was called home while at her residence in Natchitoches, Louisiana surrounded by family
