A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Isle Brevelle, Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 2:30 p. m.  Preceding the Mass will be a Public Visitation at the church from 1:00 p. m. until 2:00 p. m. followed by a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 2:00 p. m.  Immediately following the Mass the casketed remains will be entombed in the Church's Mausoleum.

Delores (Dee) LaCour, 89, died, Saturday, November 18, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her
family. Dee was born August 7, 1934 in Natchitoches Parish.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Eugene III "Tut" (Yolanda), Carolyn "Sister" and
James "Sweetie" (Freda), a grandson Michael and granddaughter Kristian Taylor, and four
great grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Meadow, Kayden and Max.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, parents, brother (Fred) and sister (Leona).
She retired from Howard Lumber Company after 25+ years of service as a maid, stocker,
bookkeeper, trainer, project estimator. After retirement, she worked at Natchitoches Lumber
Company and Colliers and Sons.
She was very loving and accepting of everyone she met. She enjoyed helping with food
preparation for the church fair, dancing, music, renovating old houses, restoring old furniture,
decorating, helping family members with their home projects/renovations. She was very
effective at putting others at ease with a light hearted joke.
She will be in our hearts forever.
