Blessed to live beyond "threescore and ten years" he was the 15th child of 16 siblings and the last remaining of his generation. Known as the eldest member of St. Martha Baptist Church he was a faithful Deacon who loved the Lord and his Church. His life revolved around the Church, family and friends. He was a man of many talents, a skilled carpenter, electrician, and a "Jack of all trades". He is preceded in death by 2 sons, Willie J. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 22 years, affectionately known as his "Sweetheart" Mary Davis Casson; 2 daughters, Deloris Casson Jones, and husband Carlton of Humble TX and Michelle Morrison, and husband Daniel of Houston, TX. Grandchildren Willie J. Casson, Jr. of Perris, CA; Lashunda Casson of Natchitoches; Shanea Jones and Kendra J. Martin of Houston, TX; Jaleesa Casson-Pratt of Austin, TX; Oraneshia Banks, Xavier Banks, Michael Lynch, and Ashley Corbin of Houston, TX. Stepchildren Charles R. Twelve great-great grandchildren, 19 step-grandchildren, and 34 step great-great grandchildren and a legacy of loved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Truly God blessed Deacon Hosie with good health up until the last year before his death; and his peaceful passing was indeed the last great gift given by God in this world.
