It is with profound regret that we announce the passing of U. S. Army Veteran and renown educator, Ms. Cynthia "Dee" Pierce King.  She peacefully transitioned while under the medical care of the Southern Hills facility in Shreveport.  WINNFIELD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME'S STAFF asks that you join them in prayerful consideration of this family as they make final care decisions.

Commemoration celebrating her life and legacy will go forth Saturday, November 29, 2025, 10:00 a. m. at the Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 318 North Street, Natchitoches, LA 71457.  The casketed remains will lie in state at the funeral home from 9:00 a. m. until 9:55 a. m. followed by a tribute from the local veterans organization.  The service will start at 10:00 a. m.  Interment will follow in the Lawrence Serenity Sanctum with military honors.
