Obituary

A celebration of life will go forth on Saturday, November 11, 2023 in the Chapel of Winnfield Funeral Home of Winnfield, La. Public visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm. The casketed remains will reopen Saturday morning at 9am until the time of service with Pastor G. Tomell Hamms officiating. Burial will take place in the Winnfield Cemetery.

Brandon Montez Brown, 41, was born February 23, 1982 in Jonesboro, Louisiana to Ms. Julia Mae Tookes-Brown and Ezekiel Harrell.

Brandon spent his younger years growing up in Winnfield in the H.Y.

Bell Apartments with his two older brothers while being reared by their loving mother. During his teenage years, they moved and lived in Milltown.

In later years, Brandon would grow up to become a man, a husband, and his favorite position, a father. Brandon married the love of his life Kalana Sapp-Brown on May 18, 2002 and to this union, two daughters were born: Braeonna Alayal and Alonna Branae.

His mother, Julia Mae Tookes-Brown, his father, Ezekiel Harrell and his wife of 16 years, Kalana Sapp-Brown, preceded Brandon Montez Brown in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters: Braeonna (Brianka Preston) Brown and Alonna Brown; four brothers: Kenneth (Rokeeta)

Brown, Terry (Keshundra) Brown, Eric (Tyra) Harrell, and Patrick (Rita) Harrell; one sister Natalie Harrell; two God-daughters: Mariah Fobbs and Malaysia Smith and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and coworkers.
