Funeral services will be celebrated Saturday, August 16, 2014, 1pm at the St. Matthew Baptist Church in Creston, LA with burial following in the Church Cemetery.

On January 6, 1939, Mr. Artis Clark Lloyd, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lloyd. He was baptized and joined Elizabeth Baptist Church in Coushatta, Louisiana. Many years later he joined the Saint Matthew Baptist Church in Creston, Louisiana. He served there as an Assistant Deacon.

He was preceded in death by three children, Gwendolyn Lloyd Rogers, Artis Lloyd, Jr. and Curtis Lee Lloyd; his mother, Desie Lloyd; his father, Andrew Lee Lloyd; one sister, Betty Sue Lloyd and one brother, James Louis Lloyd.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Melba Caldwell Lloyd of Campti, Louisiana; three sons, Jimmie Lloyd and Perry Lloyd (Lucole) of Campti, Louisiana and Keith Owens (Vickey) of Maryland; six grandsons, five granddaughters and five great, great grandchildren; two sisters, Glory Gillyard of Shreveport, Louisiana and Doris Thomas of California and one brother, Novel Lester Lloyd of Coushatta, Louisiana.
