Life Celebration service will go forth in the Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 117 MLK Drive, Winnfield, La 71483, Saturday, December 16, 2023, 11:00 a. m.  The casketed remains will lie in state for viewing from 9:00 a. m. until service time.

Annie St. John was born on November 26, 1950 in Monroe, Louisiana to Willie and Lucille St. John Sr. She grew up with her two sisters, Retter and Alberta and her brother Willie St. John Jr. "Brother." Annic confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Morning Star Baptist Church. She was a 1968 graduate of Pinecrest High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1972.

Annie also attended Louisiana Technical College in Winnfield, Louisiana, earning her book-keeping and shorthand certifications. Annie gave birth to two children Steven and Angela, whom she loved dearly and spent all of her time with.

She enjoyed watching reruns of Law and Order and she was known for her calm demeanor, but she was extremely particular.

Annie transitioned from this life at the age of 73 on Saturday, December 2, 2023. She was preceded in death by both her parents, her brother, Willie St. John Jr. and sister, Retter St. John. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her son, Steven St. John, her daughter, Angela Sowell (Nathaniel), her sister, Alberta Foster (William) her granddaughters, A'deja St. John, Nadia Sowell, and Nyla Sowell, and a host of nieces, nephews. and family members.
