Funeral Services will be celebrated Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at the 11:00 a. m. hour. in the chapel of the Natchitoches Funeral Home (formerly Winnfield Funeral Home). The family will receive friends at a wake service Monday, December 26, 2011 at the funeral home from 5:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. Burial will take place at Lawrence Serenity Sanctum.

OBITUARY -

Mrs. Annie P. Bloodworth affectionately known as "MEL" to family and friends was born August 10, 1927 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to the late Ezekiel and Blanche Robinson. She was one of eleven children which blessed this union. She was preceded in death by her husband and her 10 brothers and sisters.

Annie was united in Holy Matrimony to John E. Bloodworth, Sr. and to this union two children were born, John E. Bloodworth, II and Charles E. Bloodworth (Edna).

Annie confessed Christ at an early age at the St. Mary Baptist Church (Cane River) of the late Rev. David Pye.

Annie attended Central High School and Grambling State University. She was a classroom teacher in the Natchitoches Parish School District for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, sisters, daughter-in-law, Gladys Bloodworth, grandson, Jeremy Bloodworth and great great granddaughter, Tajanique Jones.

With her going home to be with the Lord, she leaves two (2) sons, John E. Bloodworth, II and Charles E. Bloodworth both of Los Angeles, CA; four (4) grandchildren, Mistrov Bloodworth, Nevis Henry (Shawn), Michael Bloodworth (Prima) and John E. Bloodworth, III (Margaret); five (5) grandchildren, Shafequh Mitchell, Carleisha Plummer, Samequh Mitchell, Samuel Mitchell and Mia Bloodworth; two (2) great great grandchildren, Sa'marea Jackson and Kyiah Jones, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
