A celebration of life will take place in the Chapel of Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home. 318 North Street, Natchitoches, LA Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 2pm. A public viewing will start at 9am in the parlor of the Funeral home. A burial will follow the service in Breda Town Cemetery.
OBITUARY
Our beloved Alvin L. Adams, affectionately known as A. L. to close family and friends, was born September 10, 1940 in Natchitoches, LA to the parentage of the late Mr. Garrett Adams and Mrs. Lucinda Samuel Adams. He gave up time for eternity January 6, 2024 while in his Natchitoches residence.
Knowing there was life after death, he prayed for conversion to Christianity, was water baptized and united with the St. Savior Baptist Church (Cane River)
A. L. was employed by the Natchitoches Parish Police Jury now known as the Natchitoches Parish Council for many years and retired from this agency some time ago.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garrett Adams and Lucinda Samuel Adams, two brothers, John Adams and James Adams.
Those who survive him and will cherish his memory are Ethel Jean Burks and Louise White both of Natchitoches, LA, one sister-in-law, Shirley Adams, of Natchitoches, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Also surviving him was a special friend, Gwendolyn Lynch, and a number of step-children and step grandchildren.
